Laurence Yap has 20 years of industrial experience in organizational development and human resource development. He has served in multiple multinational organizations in Asia Pacific Regions such as PayPal, Western Digital, First Solar and Pfizer.
He has a strong business acumen to drive business growth through various human resource interventions. He manages corporate strategies, business process improvement, employee engagement, talent and leadership pipeline, strategic organizational capability development, performance-based culture and workforce planning.
He is currently working at Dexon Electrical & Engineering Sdn Bhd as a Head of HR. He has won Global Training and Development Leadership Award from the World HR Congress in February 2017 and the prestigious HR Leadership Award from Malaysia Institute of human resource management in November 2017.
He obtained his Bachelor of Arts with Honors and Master of Arts from the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, the University of Malaya in the 1990s. For his post-graduate studies, the University of Malaya has granted him the Fellowship Award. Laurence Yap is actively involve in HR community in Malaysia, he is currently one of the committee members of President's Think Tank Group of Malaysia Institute of Human Resource Management
