The founder of XENERGIE International, Lorna McDowell has been a pioneer in the field of systemic coaching and new approaches to organisational and leadership development that go deeper and wider in stakeholder relations and connecting people to purpose. In the last decade, she has especially focused on helping major international companies in financial services, medical devices, consulting and technology, as well ascommunity services organisations from public utilities and councils to religious orders,to develop their thinking and practice around culture and leadership, and to deliver change and transformation from the inside out.
Her latest new venture is "Clusters - Brainstorming for Gamechangers". This is a joint collaboration with the Grubb Trust, one of the world's leading behavioural research companies which worked underground to assist in many complex organisational and stakeholder problems, including leading to the Good Friday Agreement in Northern Ireland. The purpose of this not-for-profit venture is to promote collaboration and problem solving between diverse parties.
Prior to forming her companies, Lorna held senior positions in Brodeur Worldwide/Ketchum and drove a programme of mergers and acquisitions to form the world’s first and largest high tech marketing agencies and experience which informed her approach to working across cultures, building vision and understanding and working relentlessly towards shared goals and a common good.
Amongst her many qualifications Lorna holds a Masters in Organisational Analysis from the University of London / Grubb Institute, an Advanced Diploma in Coaching Supervision from University of Middlesex, Diploma in Management & Leadership from Henley Business School as well as Diplomas in Integrative Psychotherapy and Transpersonal Therapy & Shamanic Healing and Kundalini Yoga. Her colourful career has trained her in a range of collaborative and healing practices studying the natural order of life, which has been her passion and fed the spirit of enquiry in all that she does.
She is also a mother of two young adults, partner to Mike, and is at her happiest walking the dog with family and friends in the hills and beaches of the West of Ireland.
