Following a degree in Economics Schofield joined the computer industry with Unisys where he held a variety of positions before becoming Director of European Alliances.
In 1997 he joined the insurance industry as Sales Director of Scottish Provident. During the next 4 years more than quadrupled sales with the company becoming the largest supplier of personal protection insurance in the UK.
In 2003 he founded the training company Extensor which today works with many of the UK's top companies, and in 2007 he co-founded MyBrain International based on his interest in neuroscience and its links to organisational performance.
