Neeru is an entrepreneurial tech savvy HR leader. Her career spans across giant starts-ups to large scale matured organizations around the world.

Neeru has over 14 years of global experience across diverse industries and cultures with a proven track record of devising and executing coherent best-in-class HR vision, strategies & policies to shape high performing cultures and enhance profitability. She has always been a voice for progressive change; her stints in Services, IT, Start Up, Telecom and Media industries is only a testimony of operationalization of various HR methodologies whilst attracting & mobilizing top talent worldwide to deliver break through successes. She is specifically attuned to the challenges of women in corporates and more importantly, their potential impact on teams & organizations’ when their authentic, empathetic & intuitive leadership style is unlocked. She has led various initiatives to ensure high diversity ratios through each of her assignments.

As the CHRO today, she champions the company’s vision: ‘to establish EROS as the leading Digital Entertainment Company globally’. She has the global responsibility of attracting, engaging & developing EROS’s most important asset - its people.

Traversing this journey to build a future fit digital organization, she has articulated organizational KRAs, led internal and external talent mapping, structuring teams & hierarchies to build best in class competencies. Hired from diverse industries to build a talent mix to reinvent EROS. These risky bets reaped innovative/creative solutions, making sure all strategies correspond to over-all business objectives.

She led leadership interventions, employee development initiatives and automation of all hr processes with a focus on cohesive work environment and business culture which is ‘Employee First’. Designed cost effective compensation and benefits plan in line with business strategies & goals; ensuring profitability and employee net promoter score is trending north.

Prior to Eros, she served as the HR Lead for Customer Services at Reliance Jio Infocomm. Jio presented unique challenges of hyper growth start up environment, where Neeru set up the entire customer service organization from ground zero. Designed and implemented world class & unified HR practices and policies whilst creating a model of remote engagements across 23 telecom circles & 10 service partners with a strength of 20,000 associates.

Neeru started her professional practice in 2004 as an HR team member with the Marriott Hotels later moved to Reliance Big FM during privatisation of Radio setting up the corporate HR function for employees’ span >800 personnel across 12 locations and leading western region as BHR. From 2007 to 2012 Neeru worked with various Large IT organizations (Hungary/Finland/India) handling varied portfolios from HR Operations/Advisor to Project management while successfully setting up HR for Global delivery centres, scaling up manpower & ensuring statutory compliances.

Neeru set up her entrepreneurial journey in 2012 as a Co-founder & Director of a Tech Start-up; introducing a unique business model to transform the retail industry & empower small traders. She led her team to develop a cloud-based platform for seamless integration of supply chain between small retailers and their suppliers, empowering retailers by means of effortless cloud-based inventory management, profitable procurement and seamless billing using our Platform as a Service deployed on a robust tablet-like device & wiping out the enormous marketing and sales overheads incurred by FMCG companies. Scaled operations to 900 stores and exited venture by selling it to the largest Indian conglomerate.

Neeru earned her master’s degree in Business Administration from MET, Mumbai and SPHRi certification from HRCI. She has been consulted by various news media on HR issues, has spoken at several industry events, & educational forums on diverse industry landscapes as well as HR trending topics. She works closely with the Samhita foundation working championing the cause of girls’ education. Her most important role is inspiring her two kids to follow their dreams with courage. Besides parenting two kids, she finds her peace in meditation and playing outdoors.
