Biography

Clara Amonia Odu is a Human Resources Professional with16 years Industrial work experience in oil & gas as well as educational sector, a specialist career counselor /coach, have strong passion in people branding & professional development, professional image, hence inspiring hope in people - a management staff of Bonny Vocational Centre - (City & Guilds of London Approved Institute) in Bonny Island, Rivers State, Nigeria.

Clara is a Certified Human Resource Manager (CHRM); a professional Human Resources International holder, she has a Hıgher Natıonal Dıploma ın Busıness Admınıstratıon & Management, and is an Assocıate member of the Nıgerıan Instıtutes of management (NIM), she has handled lots of Leadership roles, Advisory/Human Resources management responsibilities.

She started her Career as an Executive Project Secretary in 2003 at TSKJ an oil & gas industry, where she co-ordinates all organizational leadership schedules, and programs as well as set up meetings, seminars, workshops and conferences.

Later she worked with Bonny Vocational Centre an educational industry as a Centre Secretary from 2009, due to her passion for people development, she moved up to the role of Head Human Resources in 2014; where she is responsible for ensuring peace and compliance, performance management, enhancing the employability of the students by conducting trainings and seminars, and also supervisors development. Successfully established a learning culture and professional image for all employees.

She currently lunched the 1st Certification learning Centre in Bonny Island, Nigeria called Toplearn Horizon where from time to time, she conduct seminars, workshops, and trainings for the development of her community.

She is also working on a project that will enable her establish a prometric Centre where CBT exams can hold in her community for youth continuous professional development.

I possess a strong leadership qualities and a genuine concern for young adults within and outside my local community.

My goal is to always make effort – and that’s what I want the young adults to learn.

I have a passion and drive for Human Resources profession - which has enabled me to successfully managed my organization as an only Human Resources generalist for 9 years and still counting; and also been able to successfully executed various Basic HSE Pre-boarding training for our sponsored organization contractors - (Nigeria LNG for about 2 years +) without any community relations or related issues.

Her core competencies are Professional development and recruitment; hence she has recruited for both her organization as well as sister organization and is been contacted for international recruitment, have managed an entire training function of an organization. Analyze, Design, Develop, and Implement and evaluate the training programs.
