Biography

Rathinavel Rajan is a versatile HR professional bringing with him over 19 years of rich experience in Human Resource Management and Employee Relations in various capacities at Saint-Gobain, Unilever, Federal Mogul and Ingersoll Rand. He is currently working as Head - Human Resources at Ball Beverage Packaging (India) Pvt. Ltd.

Rajan believes learning is eternal. He holds Masters in Labour Management from Tamilnadu institute of Labour Studies and a Bachelor of Law from Karnataka State Law University. He also completed his Post-graduate programme in Business management from XLRI and is pursuing his doctorate studies at SRM Institute of Science & Technology.

Rajan handled three Greenfield projects from the formation and instrumental in building and nurturing the talents as well as culture of the respective organizations. He firmly believes that the success of HR lies in transcending boundaries and working as an enabling partner to business. The Extra Mile Award and the Path Breaker Award in Ingersoll Rand are testimony to his belief.

As an active contributor to the Human Resources fraternity, he is the General Secretary of HR Professional Association CHROMA and supports the alumni initiatives at his Alma Mater Tamilnadu Institute of Labour Studies. He is also associated with Madras Management Association and Madras Productivity Council.

Rajan is committed to the cause of academia. He spends considerable time supporting NGOs promoting education and he is the Founder of Ooruni Foundation and Co-Founder of “We Are Your Voice”. He is also a visiting faculty member at various institutions lending his experience and perspectives on Human Resources. As an affable personality, he connects with a lot of young minds on social media to provide his guidance on HR and career management.

Rajan conferred with an award of “100 HR Super Achievers in India” at World HRD Congress 2018 and All India Press & Media Council awarded him the “Bliss Social Award - 2018” in Social services category. In October 2018, he received “CURE Award” for his efforts and contributions to “Re-skilling” during “International HR Conference – The Era of CURE” held at Chennai. Recently Rajan won the “People and Culture Focus Award” for Africa, Middle East and Asia region at Ball Corporation.
