Surani Amerasinghe

Head of Human Resources, joined Lion Brewery (Ceylon) PLC in January 2016.

A hotelier by profession having obtained her Hotel School Diploma from Hotelconsult Cesar Ritz in Switzerland and a MBA from the American City College.

Before joining Lion, Surani was Group Head of HR at Hayleys PLC and prior to that, Senior HR Business Partner for British American Tobacco in London overlooking HR and Talent for the Legal and Corporate & Regulatory Affairs functions at a Group level.

She has also headed Operations in the Hotel industry and Headed HR in FMCG / Manufacturing, Banking and Hotel sectors.

Surani has experience overlooking human resourcesacross Asia, including China, India, Bangladesh, Singapore & Malaysia in addition to her experience in the UK.
