Biography

Ransi comes from a diverse background, having been born in Kuwait and raised in the US. She holds a Master of Science, Psychology of Business Herriot Watt University, UK and BSc in International Business Management (Honors) from the University of Maryland in the US. She is a Certified Transformative Coach and is working towards the PCC qualification through International Coaches Federation (IFC).

Ransi has been with SCB Sri Lanka for 12+ years including a STA with Global Learning and Talent Development Team In SCB Singapore. Prior to this, she was the Project Director, Unlimited Potential Partnership - A Global Development Alliance between USAID, Microsoft, and Infoshare, Colombo, Sri Lanka; Project Manager, American Chamber of Commerce (AMCHAM), Colombo, Sri Lanka; Manager - Hard Lines, Kohl's, USA and started her career as a Management Trainee in the Retail space with Kohls in USA.

She was appointed Head Human Resources in 2018 February and under her leadership, Standard Chartered Sri Lanka was recently awarded "Great Place to Work® Certified TM" by the Great Place to Work® in Sri Lanka making SC the first and only bank to be certified since the launch of this certification program in Sri Lanka.

Ransi is currently the Country Chair for the country D&I committee and recently achieved a landmark milestone of 50:50 gender equality for Sri Lanka. Ransi is also an active member and the country sponsor for W3 - Women Win @ Work, SCB's Women's Networking country. She is also currently on the Executive Board of the Association of HR Professionals and has spearheaded several initiatives for the HR fraternity.
