Soo Woon Yee
Biography
Soo, an internationally certified coach and trainer, is also the Founder and Executive Director of Accelerax, with an emphasis on leadership, business training and coaching.
With more than two decades of corporate experience in leadership, strategy and marketing, Soo
has served in established multinational organisations including Unilever, Danone (Baby Nutrition), Kimberly Clark and Suntory Garuda and her last two were in senior management roles. Her strength is in strategy and marketing, specifically in balancing strategic brand building with operational capability to deliver sustainable growth. She was a recipient of multiple marketing awards namely Effie and Brand Laureate awards.
Some key highlights of her corporate tenure are in navigating the initial turnaround of Suntory Garuda back to path of profitable growth and achieving sustainable double-digit growth for Kimberly Clark with her board members and teams. She also successfully revitalized the declining flagship milk brands of Danone (Baby Nutrition) and recapturing market leadership with strong strategies and consumer insights.
In her present capacity as a trainer and coach, she reaches out to multiple industries across Asia in the subject of her passion leadership, business and marketing.. To date, she has the privilege to work with some reputable clients, doing transformational work in fast moving consumer goods, banks, luxury automobile, electricity utility, healthcare travel and social security industry.
Over and above, her core belief is business success is attributed to the team behind her and is a passionate people builder. She now applies her experiences and knowledge into Accelerax to ensure optimum results for her clients.
Supplementary to her corporate work, Soois a strong proponent of showing acts of kindness and support to the underprivileged people. Her contributions include participating in projectswith United Nation agency, UNHCR to empower the disadvantaged community with business skills to strengthen their self-reliance. Being an active advocate of servant leadership herself, Soo served as a Board Member of the International Coaching Federation Malaysia Chapter in 2021 and currently as an Internal Auditor for the term 2022-2024.
